Planet Earth is a special place. It is the only place in the Solar System (and in the rest of space that we know of) where we could live. It is the only place where plants and animals can survive too.
The Earth’s surface is like a giant jigsaw puzzle made up of moving plates, the movement of these sometimes cause earthquakes. The land is split up into continents and countries and is covered in amazing features such as mountains, volcanoes and canyons. 75% of the surface is covered in water and underneath the surface these amazing features continue.
