International Snow Leopard Day
On the 23rd of October every year it is International Snow Leopard Day. It is a day to raise awareness and promote the conservation of these amazing creatures and their habitats.
Snow leopards used to be listed as endangered but now they are vulnerable. Despite this there are very few snow leopards left in the wild, with there numbers reported to be well under 10,000. While snow leopards are no longer considered endangered, they are still at a high risk of extinction in the wild due to threats like poaching, habitat loss, and climate change.
