Research your Topics with Text to Speech
We recommend using Text to Speech to help you research your topics and make our topics and blog more accessible.
The best option is to use the Microsoft Edge browser, and then choose Read Aloud. There are no downloads, extensions or sign ins required. It just works!
On Google Chrome there are extensions that can be added to enable text to speech. We recommend Natural Reader or Speechify. These extensions can also be added to other browsers too if you’d prefer and they work in Google Docs, helpful if children are recording what they find out during their topic research.
The information will then be read out loud to you and highlighted so you can follow along with the text. This really helps children take the information in and understand what they are reading and we couldn’t recommend using it highly enough!

The Whizzbots site is designed to provide KS1 facts and KS2 facts for children to access with some independence, great to help you research your topics at both home and school.
